How To Get Here

We are situated just below the Tor on a beautiful farm.  There are a number of ways you can arrive:

On Foot:

We are a 30 minute walk from the top of the high street.

We recommend walking as an option - a mindful walk pre and post float is a lovely way to integrate your experience.

We have three routes to suggest as the best ways to get here, pictured below.

If you have a little extra time, head up the Tor from Wellhouse Lane, like you would on the Tor Trip image. Descend via the east route and instead of going around the base of the tor clockwise, follow the concrete path heading north, then take Stonedown lane east, down the hill until you see a footpath on your right into a field signposted with the Glastonbury Brewery Shop sign.  Follow these signs through the fields.
This walk incorporates both the ascent/descent of a tor trip and the ending of the countryside walk.

By Bike:

From the high street, turn right onto Chilkwell Street and at the roundabout go left to join the A361.  100m after the turning for the spring, turn left onto Ashwell Lane.  Follow this to the junction and continue straight onto Gipsy Lane. We are the middle part of the building (between the house at the far end and the Glastonbury Spring Water Company/ Glastonbury Brewery Shop). We have somewhere safe for you to store your bike.

By Car:

We have plenty of parking here at Glastonbury Float Centre.  The best road from which to approach would be to turn onto Ashwell Lane (by the reservoir) from the A361.  At the triangle, turn right onto Gipsy Lane. The center is in the first driveway you see before the road continues to the right.
